Looking Forward To Speedweeks
Now that I am out of the woods for a while (Hunting season just ended), I have some new and exciting news for everyone.  Last month, we purchased a few new late models to run this year!  The team will be at New Smyrna Speedway for the 44th Annual World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing, from February 5th-13th, in a Crate Model.  As of 1/8/10 there are 11 cars in the series, and I am the only one from New York.  I am pretty excited to head south even if it is only for a few weeks.  I love the snow, but some sun will be nice too!

We also bought a late model to run a few ACT races at Albany-Saratoga Speedway.  The last time I ran at Albany-Saratoga I was the Track Champion in the Sportsman Modified division.  I am pretty excited to return to that track, and add to the list of divisions I have won races in.  I also

won the Northeast Karting Championship at Albany-Saratoga when I was first starting my racing career in the Junior I & II classes.  It will also be nice to be able to see all of my old racing buddies, since I haven't been there in a while.

We are also planning on running a full NASCAR Camping World East Series schedule.  The schedule got cut again this year to only 10 races, so we might even enter into a few ARCA races to keep getting laps in.
The team has had a great winter so far, working hard on getting everything ready for what will hopefully be another successful season.  Jamie Aube is still our Crew Chief, with Colin Arey II and Tom Carey as the main mechanics.  I have also been putting in quite a few hours under the car, learning how things work, so hopefully that will help out this year.  Henry Ross and Bill Lavender have also been helping out a lot in the off season. Of course, I have to say that my lovely mother (who does our bookwork) has been a great help.  She puts in just as many hours as some of the crew does some weeks.

Well, as I look out my window I can see some snow flying, so that means it is time to hit the trails (just bought a new Arctic Cat).  Hope everyone has a great January, and I will talk to you after New Smyrna.
