Gearing Up For The Start of The Season!
Well, the start of the racing season is coming upon us quick, and we have a few early races to get ready for. We have to get two NASCAR K&N Series East Cars ready to go as there are two races back to back. We start at Greenville-Pickens, South Carolina, the last weekend of March and travel to South Boston, Virginia, the first weekend of April. We are also going to be heading to North Carolina later this week for a few weeks to do a great deal of testing. I am really looking forward to getting back in the seat and improving on last years finish at each track.
We also are getting ready for ACT (American-Canadian Tour) races. We will be racing at Albany-Saratoga Speedway on Sunday, April 25th. I am really looking forward to this as it will be really nice to get back to Albany-Saratoga. I am hoping that some of my local fans that haven't been able to
see me race since I left Modified Racing will come out and support me. It promises to be a good race, 100 laps on the new pavement!
The week we spent racing at New Smyrna was a huge help, and a great way to kick off our third full season racing on asphalt. We had a great car, and finished all four races in the top ten. Three of those were in the top 5. My best finish was a 2nd place. We finished third overall in the points. Unfortunately, we got rained out three nights, the extra seat time would have been nice, but overall it was the perfect way to open up the 2010 racing season!
I would like to thank my crew which includes Jamie Aube, Cole Arey, Tom Carey, and Seth ….for all their efforts in Florida and the immense amount of time they have recently spent getting our cars ready for the start of the K&N East Series.
I hope you all have a really great start to your spring, and I'll talk to you after Greenville-Pickens!
Dustin
