Another Frustrating Week For Dustin Delaney
Accident Results In 22nd Place Finish at South Boston
Dustin Delaney was well on his way to a top-10 finish in Saturday afternoon's K&N Pro Series East race at South Boston Speedway. He was running in the top-15 and making progress when the Mayfield, N.Y. native got caught up in an accident on the frontstretch that ended his day prematurely.

Delaney struggled with the setup from the outset. Despite major changes to the No. 39 Chevrolet, Delaney had to start the race from the 25th spot. The team remained optimistic, however, and moved up into the top-15 by the 100-lap mark. They were making progress with the adjustments they made during caution periods and felt they had a top-10 car.

Delaney had done a remarkable job staying out of trouble, but following a lap 116 restart, all that was about to change.

Infrastructure/Cardaddy.com Chevrolet got mixed up in an accident that sent the front end of the car completely off the ground and into Mackena Bell's No. 8 Chevrolet.

"It's very frustrating to have two bad weeks like this," said Delaney. "There's just not much more I can say."

Delaney got out of the car and walked back to the pits as his car was brought behind the wall. The team had to settle with a 22nd place finish.

"All we can do is look forward and try to put this behind us," he said. "Iowa is up next and I really like that track."
